TeleHealth Video Counseling
What is TeleHealth or Video Counseling?
TeleHealth Video Counseling is the same thing that happens in one on one counseling, but using digital technology. The Client will meet with the Therapist via phone or video connection without the risk of passing viral infections.
Do I need special equipment?
No special equipment is necessary other than a computer, tablet or smart phone with a camera if you would like to video. You will be sent a link with your appointment reminder that you can click on to connect to the video counseling call. You may want to download the Telehealth app by SimplePractice if you plan to connect with your phone or tablet.
What else do I need to know?
If you want to participate in a Video or Telehealth Counseling or Consultation session, you will need to sign/approve the consent to treat. Just let me know you want to use this service and I will send you the link to the "client portal" for you to electronically sign it.
You also need to understand:
-
You must reside in the state of Arizona to receive services from Help and Hope Counseling.
-
The therapist must also verify a safety plan for what to do if you are in crisis (emergency contacts, etc.)
-
Technology can fail and possibly interrupt your session.
-
Confidentiality can be compromised on your end if others are in you home or where you are calling from. You need to prohibit others from interrupting if at all possible.
-
If we are disconnected I will attempt to reconnect with you 3 times either via video or phone.
-
If we bill insurance for services, your insurance company may not pay for Telehealth services, in which case you would be responsible for the hourly cash pay rate of $120.00 per hour.
